At White Apple Institute, we started with a simple idea: to bring together Service Providers (i.e. educators, counselors, social workers, etc.) who we call Community Business Partners to restore hope in underserved adults with hidden/nonvisible disabilities who are striving to help themselves succeed in the workforce and/or higher education. If you are an educator/teacher, counselor, social worker or related professional join our membership . We are a village of service providers who go the extra mile to restore hope together. Become a member of our DIFferently-Abled Network for just $6 monthly/$72 annually to provide funds for preventing job loss or drop-out from classes!

Meet Danita Applewhite PhD CRC, Army Veteran, Founder/Director of White Apple Institute; Host of the ASK DR. APPLEwhite Program
Referred to affectionately as “Dr. Apple” by her clients and students, she is a retired professor of psychology, Independent Living & Rehabilitation Counselor, and former chair and vice chair of AZ State Independent Living (SILC) and State Rehabilitation(SRC) Councils .A life member of DAV, PVA and a member of MWAN, WACVA, VMLC-Emeritus, IAVA, Unite US and more…
The Differently-Abled Network (aka DAN) is an outreach, education and membership program of the White Apple Institute©, a veteran, disabled, and women operated nonprofit 501(c)(3). DAN meetings are featured monthly on the ASK DR, APPLEwhite Program, a video-podcast on YouTube. DAN members collaborate with various Community Business Partners (i.e. local service providers, educators, counselors, social workers, veteran service officers, and related professionals) to identify resources in Arizona and across the United States. The DAN promotes the mission of White Apple Institute by connecting, educating, and supporting underserved adults, veterans and civilians, with visible and non-visible disabilities to resources, specifically those who are striving to succeed in the workforce, and/or higher education and have a quality life. Trained DAN mentors identify and assess their needs and restore hope in critical situations by finding the funds for bus passes, minor car and equipment repairs, test fees, work uniforms and more when a member of DAN needs to get to a critical job interview or an exam. In DAN meetings we identified that women veterans and their eligible family members are very underserved, in response we created the Place Your B.E.T.S. (Business Education Training Sponsorships) On Women VETS project sponsored by Reintegr8, a company focused on military women transitioning to veteran status.
