True or False
When I hear the words "disabled person" I envision someone beautiful, productive, and successful.
What do you envision? Many people in our society still hold negative stereotypes because they lack exposure and knowledge.
Many people with non-visible disabilities are managing chronic pain, depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, MST, Long COVID and so much more. They are frustrated when they need an accommodation on the job or in the classroom and they're told, "You sure don't look disabled!"
On November 15th, ASK DR. APPLEwhite to explain this question and why she is encouraging people to change their perception from disabled to differently-abled for success in life. Learn more at www.whiteappleinstitute.org
